Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou born Beaumont, Puy-deDomme France in August 9th 1976. She is the oldest child among four children. Her parents were dentists and a teacher recognised and supported her love of acting and theatre at an early age, which overcame her initial ambition to be a primatologist due to her fascination with monkeys. The rise was swift for her to be a famous young actor. When she graduated in 1998, her education, she was selected to be a part of Jeunes Premiers an French show on TV that is a talent-scouting initiative, which is which was run by Canal+. There she received the award for best Young Actress in the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. This led her to embark on a acting profession. Tautou was born into the context of a Catholic home and went to church, even though she attended school within The Institut Catholique de Paris. Apart from her acting career she is also pursuing modelling. She was the model in the commercials for L'Oreal Mont Blanc, Chanel and is known as "The Chanel Muse". Also, she has an intense photographic passion and has recently produced an exhibition of her work at the Arles Festival under the title Superficial. Her photos are mostly about the spotlight and fame. The exhibit also includes a collection of self portraits in addition. Audrey Tautou became a star after her international fame was established with her debut role as Amelie Poulain from Le Fabuleux Destination d'Amelie. Amelie won international acclai film box office successes and was recognized at award ceremonies across the globe. It's the most-grossing French film made in America. Following this success Tautou starred in numerous films including British dramas such as Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Long Sunday de fiancailles and moving into Hollywood under the direction of Ron Howard of the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code alongside Tom Hanks.
